Family is key for 詹妮弗·施罗德. She loves spending time with her children and her husband as they share new experiences in the great outdoors. 他们经常去布罗肯堡, OK, where the scenery reminds Jennifer of her childhood camping adventures. Just as she encourages her children to take risks by trying new activities, she encourages her students to fully explore all opportunities before them on their way to their career. She helps them along their path as they pursue their academic and career goals.

What do you like most about your career?

I love that I get to do something different everyday. The main part of my job is problem-solving, which is exactly what I was trained in during my School Psychology graduate program.

How has your career and students at A&移动商务改善了你的生活?

我在A的时光&M-商务 has provided me with many opportunities to work with students and learn from them. I enjoy teaching, but also find that learning from students how A&M-商务 impacts, or has impacted, their life can be rewarding. I have been fortunate in that I am still up-to-date on where many of my first School Psychology students are and what they are doing. Many have taken on leadership roles in school districts or continued their education and are pursuing a doctoral degree; and I like to believe that their time in our program played a role in where they are now.

What has been your favorite course to teach?

The Psychology of Personality course was my very favorite because of the way that students get to compare and contrast different thoughts on how personalities are formed. The course also lends itself to some really fun activities to use in the classroom.

Tell us about an academic project you are working on or recently 完成.

I am currently working on a project with Dr. Kelly Carrero examining the research on treating internalizing disorders in children and adolescents, to determine if certain demographic groups are underrepresented in the treatment efficacy literature.
